Holes

People may think I am a little crazy for wearing ripped, worn jeans but I don't, and this is why.
Every hole reminds me of my life as a mother so far. My life full of pure, deep, eternal love. The years spent changing diapers, the months of sleepless nights, the days and days and days of potty training and the hours upon hours of nap strikes. They remind me of the years I have spent kneeling with my children while playing, dressing, reading, changing, wrestling, singing, crawling and just being. I feel proud when I wear my beaten up jeans. I smile, my heart beats that little bit deeper and I hold my head high.
We all have holes. Be it tired eyes (raising my hand high right now), a few more pounds around the waist, piles and piles of laundry, hands in desperate need of some care and polish, legs with hairs that are just too damn long, ripped jeans, a messy house. Moms, you're doing awesome and these holes prove it.

Laura I never noticed that you don’t wear yoga pants. ? But now when I see you in your holy jeans I’ll smile a little bigger knowing they’ve been loved.
